SE MA NEMBA Sunday Kid's Ride @ Wompatuck State Park.

We will be hosting a Kids & Family ride at Wompatuck State Park on Sundays until further notice.

The rides will start at 10:00 AM. But participants should arrive at 9:45 so that we can do a bike safety check and get the ride off on time.

We may split up into groups, depending on rider interest.

Parents are welcome to ride along with their kids.

You do not have to be a NEMBA member to take part.

  But everone needs to have signed the Annual Waiver.  Parents must sign for their kids.

The rides could last for up to 2 hours. A decision will be made at the start.

We will ride fun trails. And, maybe do some skills training, or sessioning, on difficult sections.

However, no one will be encouraged to try something that they are uncomfortable with.

   It's always, Safety First.

At the end of the ride our goal will have been, More Smiles Than Miles.

   You don't have to be a member of NEMBA to take part, but you must have signed our Annual Waiver ahead of time.

KIDS! Join us for FREE guided mountain bike rides with Quiet Corner NEMBA members to improve your trail riding skills, build confidence, and most of all have fun!

Who: Kids (8-18 or at parents’ discretion). Parents can ride also or drop off & pick up.

All Levels Welcome - we will split into groups based on ages and experience levels. Join us for one or more nights or the whole series.

When: Every Tuesday in July (6, 13, 20, & 27), 6-7:30PM

Where:
Mansfield Hollow State Park
Roughly 151 Bassetts Bridge Rd., Mansfield, CT.
NOT the Boat Launch. First parking lot on your right as you pass the Boat Launch on your right. Drive ALL the way in past the field to park under the pine trees.

Trails are a mix of dirt/gravel cart road and single track (narrow dirt trails). Kids must be comfortable riding on an uneven surface.

Children must have a reliable mountain bike, helmet, and water.

QC NEMBA Kids/Family Mountain Bike Ride at Mansfield Hollow SP

Open to all families and kids. You don't have to be a member of NEMBA to attend.

But you do have to fill out NEMBA's Liabilty Waiver. But only once a year.

PARKING: PLEASE drive all the way into parking lot past big field under pine trees.

This FREE ride is for kids and families.

Children will learn safety and riding tips to make trail riding fun and a way to enjoy nature while exploring on two wheels.

Friendly QC NEMBA volunteers will introduce kids to mountain biking on cart roads and single-track trails in the woods.

Kids must be comfortable riding their bikes and will be split into groups according to experience.

Ages 8 and up are recommended but participation is up to the discretion of parents and the QC NEMBA volunteers.

Helmets and trail-appropriate bikes are required.

Parents must attend (they can ride also, but are not required to).

Bring water and dress appropriately.

Snacks will be waiting at the end of the ride.

Saturday, May 8th, 10 am: Family Ride, Rockhouse (Oxford, CT) 5-8 miles.

Meet at the gravel lot below Oxford High School (off Route 188).
