Bear Brook Ride

Event Date

9/7/15 (All day)
Hi Folks,
I'm once again going to lead a ride this Labor Day (Monday, September 7th) at Bear Brook State Park. We'll plan on riding out at 10AM from the parking lot across from the toll booth on Deerfield Road (park on the left side when you are driving in). We'll ride 20-25 miles at an intermediate pace. Second man drop, so no one gets left behind! Plan on riding for 3-4 hours. Bring snacks and drinks to share afterwards. Hope you can join the fun! Pass this along to anyone that might be interested. Kathy 603-724-7187. Rain at 10 AM cancels.

SNH NEMBA Bear Brook Trail Work

Date

11/7/15 (All day)

Hi Folks!
Our last Trail Care Day for 2015 will be Saturday, November 7th from 9 AM to 1 PM, so mark your calendars. If we have a good showing of volunteers, we will finish up the re-route around the last set of stairs on Hedgehog Ledge. We are working on getting approval for a major re-route on Bear Hill, along with a couple of new trails alongside Podunk Road. We are talking about putting on a trailfest weekend or two to accomplish these big projects next year. WE NEED YOUR HELP. Bear Brook is a popular place to ride, but we only have a few core volunteers that show up for our trail days. The State has been very supportive in our efforts to improve the park, but without volunteers we just can't get all the work done that they approve. So pony up you Sunday morning Bear Brook riders. Bring a friend and join the fun! Kathy

SNH NEMBA Bear Brook SP Trail Work

Date

9/26/15 (All day)

Hi Folks!
We have some exciting projects in the works at Bear Brook State Park. We have had several meeting with DRED (IE the people in charge of making decisions in the park) and they are very willing to listen to our suggestions regarding trail improvements and new trails. This cooperative attitude may not last, so we are trying to get as many of these projects done in the next year. These projects include Hedgehog Ledge, Bear Brook trail, Bear Hill, Broken Boulder and some new trails that are in the process of approval. We will be alternating Saturdays and Sundays to accommodate people's schedules. So mark your calenders and come join us for some hard work to help make this park more of a mountain biking gem!

Saturday, September 26, 2015. Contact Kathy 603-724-7187
Sunday, October 4, 2015. This will be the clean up day to get ready for the Boogie 10/11/15.

Look for specific meeting times and locations closer to the day. Or visit the Southern NH NEMBA Facebook page. Hope to see you there! Kathy
