BV NEMBA WHD Skills Park Grand Opening

8/21/22 9:00am

BV NEMBA Opening Day Celebration @ the West Hill Dam Skills Park

One of the best riding areas in the region is getting better.

Blackstone Valley NEMBA is finishing up it’s work on the first phase of WHD Skills Park.

And we are celebrating!

The park will formally open on Sunday August 21st.

Arrive @ 9:00, the ribbon cutting will be @ 10:00, and there will be Music, Contests, Snacks, and lots of time to practice your skills.

Not to mention plenty of time to explore the West Hill Dam’s extensive trail network.

More details will follow as we get closer to the Grand Opening. But for now, put 8/21 on your event calendar.

While most people think that Skills Parks are for kids, (be sure to bring yours), nothing could be further from the truth. Skills Parks are for everyone.

Blackstone Valley NEMBA received a NEMBA Signature Trail Grant to partially fund the WHD Skills Park.

More details and a registration link are here.

You do not have to be a member of NEMBA to attend.

Here's a note from Brian Belfer.

Good day fellow mountain bike enthusiasts. As many of you may have noticed, we’ve been very busy building a Skills Park at West Hill Dam, which is nearing completion.

We’re extremely fortunate and thankful to have received a NEMBA Signature Trails Grant to help fund it.

We’re excited to share news of the park with mountain bike riders not only in Blackstone Valley, but everyone in the area.

We’re pretty lucky that this land was available to NEMBA for this build.

Thankfully, Uxbridge MA is within reasonable distance to lots of our friends in adjacent chapters.

I wanted to make sure everyone was invited to our Ribbon Cutting Ceremony that is happening on Sunday August 21.

If you can’t make this event then, please come visit West Hill Dam any time - we want to make sure everyone knows the park exists, and that we have NEMBA to thank for it.

WHD was a great place to ride before the park; now it’s even better.

It’s so much fun that we’re also hosting our MBAS Ride there on Sunday October 23, 2022.

And then we have more things planned for the Skills Park in Spring of 2023.

Cheers to a great second half of 2022!

I’m looking forward to meeting more of you and working alongside other chapters.
