6/1/19 (All day)
Wompatuck Trail Care Day
Southeast Mass NEMBA and the Friends of Wompatuck will partner for a trail care day on June 1st.
We will be working on two projects that day which will include the replacement of the trail bridge southwest of intersection NS6 in the Nature Study Area and the REI trail improvements near Tripphammer Pond. Both projects can be mostly accessed by paved trails. Depending on turnout we will also be doing other trail maintenance on bike. We will assemble at the Visitors Center. The schedule will be:
8:30 – 9:00 am Registration and coffee/donuts.
9:00 – 9:15 am Introductions, safety brief and work assignments.
9:15 –12:00 am Bridge & trail work.
12:00 noon Pizza & refreshments
Volunteers should bring work gloves, bug spray and drills if you have them.
Bring your bike too in case you want to go for a ride after the trail care session.
We hope you can join us. You don't have to be a member of NEMBA or the FOW to take part. You only have to want to make Wompy's trails better.
Save time by signing NEMBA's once-a-year Trail Care Waiver ahead of time if you haven't done so already.
