SE MA NEMBA Trail Days @ Borderland State Park
Dates: 10/25/2020 & 11/1/2020 at 8:30
New bridges are being constructed at Borderland State Park
on the Ridge Trail. The bridges will provide a dry option on
this popular biking/hiking trail to avoid the intermittent water
that collects for much of the year.
Bridge materials are being provided by NEMBA.
Volunteers have been recruited by invite only But contact John Refford
at the address below to see if there are any openings.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, NEMBA guidelines require
that volunteer group sizes be limited to 9 people max.
So our plan is to break into small groups of 9 people.
The Covid-19 guidelines set forth by NEMBA can be found here:
In addition, I ask that if you feel ill the day of or have any
symptoms, or have been in the presence of someone
who has an active covid-19 infection in the last 14 days,
please don’t come.
There will be one group of 9 people doing the bridge build.
The wood will be precut and the DCR will be assisting the
build using an ATV to move the lumber up Ridge Trail.
Volunteers will position the bridge supports into place,
secure the footings and drill planking into.
Oh! Sign NEMBA's Annual Trail Care Waiver ahead
of time if you haven't already done so.
