12/1/20 (All day) to 12/31/20 (All day)
Hi SECT NEMBA Riders!
2020 has been a long year and it’s been a long time since we’ve heard from all of you! I hope this note finds you and your families well and that you’ve been able to get out and enjoy the trails this year. We miss you all and the fun group rides we used to do each year! Due to circumstances, we are unable to have group activities this year, but still want to stay in touch with you and stay connected as a community.
With less daylight and dropping temperatures, sometimes it can be challenging to stay motivated and get out and ride all the places we enjoy so much. So to keep the motivation going, we’ll be running a fun challenge in December -
Ride different places in the Southeastern Connecticut region from Dec 1 - Dec 31 (ride areas listed below).
Submit a link to your ride (e.g. Trailforks, Strava, Garmin) using this entry form.
Share a picture and content to our SECT NEMBA Facebook page at @SECTNEMBA #sectnemba or on Instagram at @sectnemba #sectnemba related to these activities during December. Don’t forget to tag us!
Content for posts: Tell us about your ride! Where did you ride? Have you ridden there before? What did you like about the location?
For each unique area in Southeastern Connecticut that you ride and submit, you will be entered into our holiday swag giveaway. If you ride 2 unique places, you will get 2 entries into the giveaway, and so on.
Renewing your NEMBA membership for 2021 or becoming a new member of NEMBA, will also get you one entry.
You must be a member of NEMBA for your entry to be accepted.
Please sign NEMBA’s once-a-year ride waiver if you haven’t already done so.
In January 2021, we will select 3 members to receive some awesome swag from Wayfarer Bicycle, Cycling Concepts, Airline Cycles, Specialized and DeFeet.
We will make arrangements with you for delivery of prizes if you win. Winners will be announced on our SECT NEMBA Facebook & Instagram Page (unless of course you ask us not to release your name, we’ll check with you first).
Looking forward to seeing your awesome rides and adventures in December! Please reach out if you have any questions, and happy riding!
Things to note:
Trail conditions - we do not encourage riding trail systems in inclement weather. If heavy rain is or has occurred in a 24 - 48 hour period, we will not accept the entry. If trails have had a deep freeze and then thawed causing there to be a lot of mud, we will also not accept entries.
Please follow all the rules of the areas you choose to ride and maintain good trail etiquette.
Please wear a face covering when near people. NEMBA COVID-19 guidelines.
Please ride responsibly.
