This one-day trail school hosted by Brattleboro-Keene NEMBA will teach the basis of trail assessment and maintenance as well as trail design and construction.
This course is perfect for riders, trail enthusiasts, land stewards and land managers interested in learning about what makes for sustainable, enjoyable trails and how to take care of them.
The course will include classroom presentations on the best practices of trail building and maintenance in the morning at the Keene City Parks & Recreation, located at 312 Washington St., followed by hands-on trail building clinics in the afternoon at Dummer Hill.
Coffee, snacks and lunch will be included, and there will also be an option to purchase IMBA's trailbuilding textbook, IMBA Trail Solutions (supplies limited).
The cost is $35. Please bring $40 (cash or check) if you wish to purchace IMBA's book, Trail Solutions: IMBA's Guide to Building Sweet Singletrack.
The clinic will run from 8am to 4pm, and there will be an optional group ride at 4:30 on the local trails. The clinic limited to 50 people, so register early.
