CR NEMBA Volunteer Trail Work Day #3

6/29/19 9:00am to 2:00pm

Can’t make it to NEMBAfest? Well, we can offer the next best thing; join us for some clean living and fresh mountain air as we tune up the trails for the 9th Annual Carrabassett Backcountry Cycle Challenge.

On Saturday, June 29, we are sponsoring our third volunteer trail work day of the season! This is an important work day as we’ll be weed whacking sections of the trails (race course) for the 9th Annual Carrabassett Backcountry Cycle Challenge. This race is the largest yearly fundraiser for the Carrabassett Valley trail network. In addition, we'll be doing general summer trail maintenance (raking, cutting encroaching brush, etc). We have a few weed whackers to loan out but if you own a weed whacker, please bring it to the trail work day. Please also bring string and a mix fuel tank. We'll provide the fuel. Don't forget to bring eye and ear protection too. Any additional event details will be posted on this Facebook event page so please check this page again as the date gets closer.

DATE: Saturday, June 29
MEETUP: Sugarloaf Outdoor Center
TIME: 9:00 AM to sign up and get assignments.
DURATION: Approximately 5 hours.

Please RSVP to the work day leader, Josh Tauses, at and RSVPing through this Facebook event page is a great way to let your friends know you'll be attending this event.

ACTIVITIES: Prepping the trails for the 9th Annual CBCC and general summer trail maintenance.
