Clifford Grant Trail Work

We are looking for volunteers to help with trail work at the Clifford Grant Parcel, in North Easton, MA on Sunday Morning April 23. The work being done will improve the trail surfaces for all trail users, so that the trails will sustain years of multi use. There are many individuals and user groups that will benefit from the improving of this trail system. Work is being sponsored by New England Mountain Bike Association NEMBA , in collaboration with Easton Boy Scout Troops 193 & 42.
Work Date:  April 23, 2017 SUNDAY

Start Time:  9AM to 12:00PM (sign-in opens at 8:30AM)

Where to Meet:  Oliver Ames High School parking area, adjacent to Clifford Grant Trails. Sign-in opens at 8:30AM. Work starts 9:00AM.

What to Bring:  Snack, water, bug-repellant, work gloves, & please wear pants and sturdy shoes (work boots). 

WE NEED WHEELBARROWS ! - please bring if you have one in good working condition. We also need digging shovels and steel grading rakes, but wheelbarrows are the biggest need.

Work Description: Loading wheelbarrows with crushed hard-pack trail mix, to be wheeled into the woods to be spread and raked out on rough trail sections.

The group will be split into two, one group will be working from a pile at the High School entrance, the second group will be working from a pile at the Randall Street entrance.

Please, share this with neighbors, friends, volunteer groups, athletic clubs, etc.  We need your help to get this project finished!
We will meet at the Easton High School parking lot (plenty of parking), in the section over by the trail-head (look for the NEMBA New England Mountain Bike Association trailer). We assemble at the trailer prior to starting work to get all volunteers signed in. If you are arriving late, please call my cell (listed below) so you can find us in the woods.
