NEMBA is going BIG | Mountain Biking Vietnam
by Projectnortheast
It's that time of year again where the snow up north has all our favorite mountains and trails covered in white stuff. My annual pilgrimage for black friday ended up at Vietnam in Milford Mass. this year to check out all the rad stuff I see them building online. While some of the earlier trails seem a little not so intuitive when it comes to some of the features, definitely a look before you leap kinda thing on quite a few of them, but you can see the progression as you ride the trails making your way from left to right finally making it to the biggest line still currently in progress, the famous C4 line. Progression not just in size and speed, but in how good they are getting at building these features and getting the timing and speed juuuuust right. I'm not sure what C4 was really names for, my personal opinion on the old line was it was called C4 because it blows up your frame if you over send it haha. Last time hitting the original line I broke the link on my enduro, and a buddy cracked his frame as well. Now? With the proper speed it was smooth as butter. Can you count how many times I say butter?
As many of you know this is the only parcel of land that NEMBA actually owns and it's Blackstone Valley Nemba's baby. What they've done as of recent is create a one of a kind place for this area of Mass... a legit pedal up lappable bike park with so many gap jumps it'll have your carbon rims cringing if you come up short. Thanks to all those that take care of and build these trails as they are truly a gem!
As always this time of year and at this trail center we always run out of time and we literally only had time to hit the trails we did, but there's a ton more there like 207, vacationland, mind the gap, and others that are worth lapping over and over again. Can't wait to get back down and ride them all!
