MVNEMBA Tuesday Ride @ LDT

Event Date

Repeats every week every Tuesday until Tue Oct 27 2015 .
4/28/15 5:00pm to 8:00pm
Join us for our infamous Tuesday Ride at Lowell-Dracut-Tyngsboro State Forest.  This is an advanced-intermediate technical ride typically 12-15 miles in length.  The pace is a bit more moderate for the first few weeks as we all shake the rust off, but ramps up to a steady challenging pace with occasional stops to regroup.

The ride has two start times to accomodate traffic and schedules.  A warmup loop of a few miles leaves the parking lot just after 5PM, and that group swings back through the lot to pick up late arrivals by 6PM.

Parking lot is approximately located at 132 Trotting Park Road, Lowell, MA.

NSNEMBA Trail Work at Tompson St. Reservation

Date

10/18/14 8:30am to 1:00pm

Project is a boardwalk connecting the Concord St. trailhead with the existing trail system in Greenbelt’s Tompson St. Reservation better known as Bruce and Tom’s. This spring we completed a trail to the boardwalk location. Lumber will be moved about halfway to the site by vehicle to be hand carried from there. Bridge construction will start by driving posts and setting supports. Completion is not expected until spring. Meet on Concord St just north of 128.

For all trail days, long pants, sturdy shoes/boots, work gloves, water, and snacks are recommended. We provide tools but you can bring your own. Work normally goes to 12 or 12:30, then lunch will be provided. A ride normally follows weather and energy levels permitting. Contact Dan at trailwork@nsnemba.org or 9786188596 for details.
