FC NEMBA Labor Day Ride

We will be riding in Trumbull, also known as Pequonnock River Valley.

We will split up by skills/speed as needed. This is not beginner territory and kids must be accompanied by adults.

We will be far from civilization, and to go on the ride each rider MUST have the following:

  • Bike in working condition
  • Gloves & helmet
  • Sufficient hydration in a cage bottle or pack
  • Trailside snacks - high energy packable food - and something to put them in (saddlebag/own small backpack)
  • Spare tube and multitool
  • Clothing - thin, layered, technical; wool or synthetic socks as we may get wet, cotton police will be out, Ziploc bag rule in effect!

Meeting 9:45 in the parking lot off Whitney Ave in Trumbull (look for Bike Crossing sign, then turn right into the lot)

Wheels down 10 AM, riding for 2 hours give or take, pizza after at the Trumbull Pizza Co. at the corner of Whitney and Main for all interested.

9/3 at Rockland, 10 AM - 3 PM:  Santa Cruz Demo with Cutting Edge Bike Shop of Berlin, Rockland Preserve, Madison.  Park in the Rt 79 lot.

NEMBA will be there selling Singletracks of Rockland T-shirts and chatting with riders about how NEMBA makes CT trails better.

Central CT NEMBA Rockland Bike Park Work Session

9/30 from 10 AM to noon, volunteers will be working on the Rockland Bike Park at the route 79 lot.  We will be moving dirt, building berms, and finishing lines in the skills area.  Volunteers should bring dirt moving tools, such as shovels, buckets, and wheelbarrows. Central CT NEMBA Fall Fiesta 2017

CCT NEMBA is throwing its annual “Thank You Fest” for all its members who support NEMBA all year long.

Rides and food are all just a small part of the fun when you join us at Gay City State Park in Hebron, CT, on Sunday, October 1, 2017 (Rain Date: October 8).  Meet up with your fellow mountain bikers who have helped keep our trails open and fun to ride.

Not a member? Well, you can join at the event and still enjoy the festivities!

Guided rides, lunch and much more!  Rides are free to the general public.  NEMBA membership required for lunch (swag raffle to follow).  $35 to join if a not-yet-member.

All donations help support mountain biking, our trails and parks in CT as well as throughout New England.

2017 Schedule (subject to change):

  • 8:30 AM – 11:00 AM: Registration
  • 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Advanced Ride
  • 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Intermediate Rides & Women’s Ride

We are continuing work at Block-House in Oxford. Thursday June 22 starting at 4:30 going 'til 8pm. We are working off Perkins Road - park at the end of the road in cul-de-sac, on the Sanctuary side of the road. Please contact Paula if you're planning on coming.  OK if coming later; we can send someone to bring you to the work site.

Cul-de-sac is on the Moose Hill Road side of Perkins Road, not the Route 188 side (they don't connect).
