Take A Kid Mountain Biking 2010

Saturday, October 2nd

NEMBA w ill be holding a number of kids rides to celebrate National Take a Mountain Biking Day.  If you can't make it with your kids on Saturday, come ride the Family Loop at Great Brook Farm at our Kona Bicycles-Fox Shox MTB Adventure ride on Sunday.  Can't make either?  We'll you'll just have to come to our MTB Festival on Oct. 9-10. There will be tons of kids stuff happening on the 10th.

Come join the MA Department of Conservation and Recreation and the Greater Boston Chapter of NEMBA in celebrating the 2010 National Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day at the Middlesex Fells.

The event will open at 9:30 am on Saturday, October 2nd, 2010 and there will be lead group rides at an easy pace starting at 10:00am leaving every half hour until 12:00pm when we will break for lunch. There will be one last ride at 1:00pm.

There will be creative activities as well during the event: decorate your bike, create your own license plate, and create your own bike-themed t-shirt.

The rides will be lead by NEMBA Ride Guides and the NEMBA Mountain Bike Patrol will be staffing and riding along as well. The rides are recommended for ages 8 and up and children will need to be able to ride without training wheels. Parents are welcome to ride along! Helmets required! Why: Mountain biking is an awesome family activity and a great way to promote healthy kids and families!

3) RI NEMBA & Cumberland/Lincoln Boys & Girls Club @ Diamond Hill Park (Cumberland RI)

R INEMBA and the Cumberlnad/Lincoln Boys & Girls Club would like to invite you to our Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day Event:


When:         Saturday, October 2nd, 2010
Where:       Diamond Hill Park
Itinerary:    11 AM Meet at : DIAMOND HILL STATE PARK ENTRANCE RTE 114 CUMBERLAND

     SKILLS CLINIC BIKE MAINTENANCE WORK SHOP VENDORS -BIKE SHOPS AND A KID'S RIDE AT 12 NOON

     END TIME 3:00PM

We will collecting non-perishable food item donations to donate to the Pawtucket Soup Kitchen.  Please bring either: a can of chicken broth, coffee, sugar, canned vegetables, bake beans, tuna, pasta, or canned tomato products.

This is a great opportunity for you to pass your passion for pedaling on to
kids.   Plan to go mountain biking on the first Saturday in October - and
bring a kid along for the ride!

We are currently seeking interested participants (Kids and Adults) as well as volunteers for all aspects of the event including  (HELMETS, WORKSHOPS, PROMOTION, and EQUIPMENT RENTALS, AND PRIZES!)

4) SE MA NEMBA & the Spellman Mountain Bike Club @ Wompatuck State Park (Hingham MA)

The ride will take place next Saturday, October 2, 2020 at Wompatuck State Park in Hingham, Massachusetts, USA. The ride will begin at 9:00 A.M. and end between 11:00 to 11:30 A.M.
