Once a national showcase for competitive luminaries from mountain biking’s golden age such as Ned Overend, John Tomac and Cindy Whitehead, Wendell State Forest is once again throwing open it’s doors to mountain bikers. With a mix of hilly, jump-strewn fire roads and xc ski trails, classic multi-use trails like the M&M, and several miles of NEMBA-built singletrack weaving in and out of it’s magnificent hardwood forests and around it’s picturesque ponds, Wendell State forest serves up some of the best riding in the region. The Sunday, July 10th the Kona Bicycles-Fox Shox MTB Adventure ride offers biking enthusiasts of all levels and abilities the best opportunity to rediscover the splendor of Wendell along well-marked, preset routes.
