    Default SRAM crank removal

I have one a those newschool x5 crank sets on my new bike. I wanna remove it. I removed the dust cap and then the nondrive crank bolt. The arm should just come off, right? It ain't. Should I get a hamma or something?

Self-extracting. Done! (thanks to Blackstone Bicycles for the answer!)

So if anyone else has the same problem, put away the mallet, reinstall the nondrive bolt and dust cap. THEN, put the 8mm hex through the dust cap and into the bolt and loosen the bolt, standard rightyttighty way. It will push up against the dust cap and the crank arm will come off easily. Push the spindle through the bottom bracket....
