Exclamation JJMR EPIC - John Jenkins Mem Ride - Sept 28

As another fall season rolls around I'm putting together the annual JJMR epic ride. The date is Saturday September 28th. As in the past this will be an all day ride beginning around 8 am and finishing 5 pm -ish. We will be tour the trails around Petersham with the vast majority being singletrack. The pace is geared towards an all day ride, not a hammerfest by any means, but I do try to keep it moving along. Mileage usually falls somewhere between 40 and 50 depending on what we can fit in. The details are below.
    Date: Saturday September 28th
Time: Ride meeting and get going 8am
Location: 110 Carter Pond Rd Petersham
Food: there is a lunch stop and a stop at 3ish. We will have water and snacks but come prepared. Have your stuff in a marked bag or cooler and we can shuttle it around for you. There will also be a potluck BBQ after. We provide grill stuff so just bring something to share
Cost: Donation to John Jenkins Memorial Fund - amount is up to you

If you didn't build the trail, don't mess with it.

The extended forecast looks good and the trails are riding well. The word "beating" has such a negative tone, I prefer "gently massaged".

F cross season. This is the best time of year for long rides in faraway lands. Looking forward to it!

I hope to bring a couple guys up from Northampton.

RSVP update - car of 4 heading up from Northampton. The average age of the car is somewhere around 25 (and I'm 32) .

This ride is only fun when it pours the night before. I'm gonna miss the soupy conditions with all the dry weather we've been cursed with. I'm car pooling with two others- average age is burnt weenie.

Single track loop, just shy of 40 miles... and about 85% up hill.
    Awesome ride and bar-b-q! Thanks!
