Here's a good one for you concerning stuff lost in the woods. My wife and I are hiking at a local spot that we hadn't been to for at least a year. Halfway through I look down and see something shiny on a rock and bend down to have a look. My wife says, "Oh my god, that's my earring" I didn't believe her until she showed me its mate when we got home. That thing sat there for at least a year and then I just happened to see it ( We easily could have walked by it ). I doubt many people would want a single earring but it still seems a miracle that someone (or a crow) didn't pick it up.
