    Default Native to Blue Hills

I am posting this picture of baby timber rattlers in the spirit of sharing a rare sight. This was taken about a month ago so the foot long timber rattler newborns have probably advanced along. It is cool how their coloring blends with granite and lichen. There is one stretched out in the center and 4 heads to the right. It is in a spot where I like to rest and bask in the sun when I am tired mid ride. Not so much anymore.
Its kind of like the baby ward in the hospital. Everyone is happy to look.
It pays to be aware and alert even when sweating and gasping.
I am not a herpto-crazy, and I am quite frightened paired with the awe, but I have posted here about these before.
