The thing Highland has going for it, IMHO, is the instructors. From what I've witnessed they really spend a lot of time with people, and on a slow day (like this past Tuesday) I could see the group of new riders getting more and more comfortable from my vantage point on the lift as the day wore on. The rental bikes are nice looking to boot. That said I've never made it up to Killington, heck I still haven't gotten to KT ( I know, I need to go - I don't get out of the shop much these days), so my opinion is highly skewed.
