In an effort to save some cash on gas and improve my fitness I'm going to start commuting by bike. I've got a ~25 mile route planned out, mostly on secondary roads that I'm going to test drive this morning. I plan on starting out on an old hardtail mtb until the weather improves and then moving to my road bike once the streets have been swept in the spring. I'm looking for gear tips since I've never been out on the road in temps this low.

I've got so far:
Neoprene overboots
Wind stopping pants and jacket
neoprene full finger gloves
thermal layer
base layer
balaclava

and of course all sorts of conspicuity devices, helmet light, blinky lights, reflective ankle bands

Am I overlooking something that I may need/want aside from the regular riding kit (tube, CO2, multitool, etc)?
