Well, while removing my headset cups from my frame (sending it out for paint), I managed to break the Chris King cup in half! I must have been tapping on something other than the top lip as it just sheared the bearing race off and left the cylinder part inside. Got that out...

So, the question is whether any one has a clue whether it is even possible to get separate cups for those (1" black) or whether I have to improvise. I guess I could buy a cheap headset and just use that lower race.

This is coming off my old Fat Chance. I don't see why 14 years of aging would effect things. LOL! the bearings are stil perfect!
