"24 Solo" MTB movie showing in boston!
Hey, this is posted in the events thread as well, but i wanted to get the word out. The newest film from the people who made "off road to Athens" will be premiering in Boston this friday night as part of the boston bike film fest!
"24 solo" is all about 24 hour racing and has some amazing footage of races all over the world. check out the trailer at www.24-solo.com/trailer/ .Worth a watch and the film fest benefits Massbike, they are worth benefiting...

3rd Annual Boston Bike Film Festival: October 18th - 20th
Thursday October 18th, Open night and Kick-Off Party
"Caravan Prague", by Zach Winestine : www.caravanprague.com , will be playing at the Lucy Parsons Center located on 549 Columbus Avenue in Boston's South End. Doors open at 7pm, film begins at 7:15pm. This event is free and open to the public. Please note that the Lucy Parsons center has one bike rack, otherwise attendants will be responsible for their parking.
The Other Side Café –located on 407 Newbury Street — will be hosting the kick-off party following the film. Show up on bike with HELMET IN HAND and receive discounts on select food items. This is also your chance to check out the latest Playintraffic Productions footage: www.playintrafficproductions.com and pick up your queue sheet for the Boston Bike Scavenger Hunt, organized by Boston's very own Boston Cyclistas! Want to know what the Cyclistas have in store for you? Well, you will have to stop by the Other Side to find out! Participation in the Scavenger Hunt is $3.00. Please note that there are no bicycle racks at the Other Side, attendants will be responsible for their parking.
Friday & Saturday, October 19th –20th, Brattle Theater in Harvard Square
Come enjoy two evenings of food, friends, drinks, prizes and BIKE MOVIES!! at the Historic Brattle Theater in Harvard Square. Our Masters of Ceremony this year will be Lauren Hefferon –founder of Ciclismo Classico—on Friday evening and Richard Ring –New England racing circuit announcer extraordinaire—hosting Saturday evening. Show you cycling support and come by bike, as bike parking will conveniently be provided by GoLoco: www.goloco.org in front of the theater.
Doors open at 7pm for both evenings, and film shorts begin at 8pm. There will be a brief intermission from 9pm-9:20pm when the featured films begin. Tickets can be purchased in advance through the Boston Bike Film Festival website: www.bostonbikefilmfest.org/tickets07.html until Thursday evening or at the door the night of. Please note that you can purchase just feature length film tickets beginning at 9pm at the door (per availability) for $10.00. Both nights will be catered with RedBones BBQ and Harpoon Brewery will supply a cash bar. Full price tickets include a raffle and meal ticket. So show up early, and get your Red Bones BBQ while it is still hot!
Our Friday featured film is "24-Solo": www.24-solo.com/trailer/ and will be preceded by an hour of cycling shorts. Examples of some of our shorts include: "Take it Or Leave It", by Dean Dickinson, "Guerrilla Mechanics", by Kristopher Carter and a selection of "Street Films", by Clarence Eckerson.
Our Saturday featured film is "The Flying Scotsman": www.mgm.com/sites/theflyingscotsman/ and will be preceded by an hour of cycling shorts that include (but not limited to): "Bike Move" by Elisa Kresinger, "6 Day Grind", by Jeff Groman and "Biking Through Black History" by Jonas Chaney.
