After a couple months of being busier than a three headed cat in a cream factory, I finally got back on my bike this weekend. Before I left, I rediscovered that my wife and brought a new rear brake cable and housing from the states.

So I put it on, but ran a full housing from the brake lever to the caliper, and then just zip tied the housing to the frame in a couple spots.

I found that I can't clean my bike as often here in Italy, so I am hoping this will keep the brake cable clean and smooth.

Whats the downside besides the appearance and extra 20 grams of housing?
