    Default Vt 50

So I went for a ride last night, by time I got home and logged on to my computer (at 7:50pm) the VT 50 was sold out alreadly; that's 650 spots in less than an hour. I am guessing that with the Jay Challenge postponed till 2008 the race filled up extra fast this year.

Anyone know of any other 50 mile races in New England this year? Or other endurance events...

I received an email from the VT50 that they received 800 entrants in 28 minutes. Wow! Luckily I got on the computer at 7pm, I was told it sold out quick but thats crazy. Looking forward to my first endurance race out east. Funny how they are promoted here as total miles, out west its total elevation then miles. I've done the Cascade Cream Puff 100 (OR) a few times, its 100 miles with 18K Ft of climbing. Very fun race! I've also done the Ultra 100 (CO) - 99.99% fireroad - complete waste of time. Lots of climbing but boring! Same can be said about Leadville - all fireroad! A real tough one, almost 100% single track is the E100 (Park City), great trails.

Thanks for the info... but I am not really interested in riding in circles for 6/12 or 24 hours, I do enough of that riding the EFTA and root 66 series. I was hoping for a point-to-point style race.

Guess I will just have to register earlier next year!

    Try the Wilderness 101:

6-7 hours from Boston, but well worth the trip.
