Default Merrimack Valley Trail Day Saturday the 24th

Merrimack Valley NEMBA’s 4th Trail Day of 2006
Part of the MERLIN / NEMBA trail care series.

Where – Lowell Dracut Tyngsboro State Forest
Park on Gumpus Road off of Mammoth Road in Dracut MA. (This is where we parked last fall when we did the long Gumpus Trail)

    When – Saturday June 24th
We’ll meet at 8:30 and be ready to hit the trails at 8:45. Bring your favorite hard rake, and work gloves. We have plenty of tools if you show up empty handed.

We already have about 1 & 1/2 mile of new trail so far this year. This next section will be just under a half mile and will complete our new trail development for this part of the forest. When added to last years new trail at Gumpus it creates just under 4 miles of new trail that can be ridden in various loop combinations. We have already had 2 trail days rained out this year. We desperately want to get this one in and hope to squeeze in a make up later in the year. Our next scheduled trail day won't be till August. Of course a heavy rain would cancel Saturdays trail work.

Drop me an email at n.blanchette@comcast.net so I can get an accurate head count. Or for more information and directions for Merrimack Valley NEMBA visit http://mv-nemba.org

Default Re:Merrimack Valley Trail Day Saturday the 24th

I have to apologize. It's my fault. Every time I schedule a TM in Dracut it rains. The last 2 trail days on the schedule were washed out. Rains of biblical proportions. Now we have a trail day schedule for tomorrow, the 24th. And, you guessed it, its raining. If we can catch a break between deluges, if Moses can show up and part the clouds, we'll try to get this in tomorrow morning. (See above for directions) But if its a steady / heavy rain afalling, don't come acalling.
