6/17 Bradley Palmer SP
This work day was originally scheduled for Bald Hill Reservation but a recent visit there revealed some pretty nasty wet conditions. Many trails are under water and our work site is a slippery mess.
Two weeks ago we put in a new singletrack trail at Bradley Palmer. The trail held up amazingly well to at lot of traffic at the NS Classic race when it wasn't really compacted yet. There are a couple of spots that need fine tuning and some drainage features we have added over the last couple of years needing cleaning, we will go there Saturday 6/17.
The start time is the usual 8:30 AM at the same location as our last work day. Park on the closed section of Winthrop Street either north or south of the bridge. Map http://maps.google.com/maps?oi=map&q=294+Winthrop+St,+Hamilton,+MA
We may carpool some folks to another trailhead more convenient to some of the drainage work. I'd like to think we can get done by 11 or so and go for a nice ride, either here or at some other location if that seems like what folks want to do. This is our last NEMBA/MERLIN Trail Care Day until September, so after one last contribution to our area trails, here's hoping that the weather cooperates and trails dry out for a great summer of riding.
