Lynn Woods TM Day Saturday June 17th
Lynn Woods Trail Build Day (Saturday: June 17th)
On Saturday June 17, 2006, Dieselbikes will be holding our third of six Trail Maintenance days in Lynn Woods. This trail day has been approved by the Lynn Woods Park Management. Saturday will begin the developing of a new trail that will lead riders from the top of Boston Rock on Bow Ridge down to Ox Pasture Road. We will require a ton of volunteers to complete the job on Saturday. The trail work site is about a 0.25 mile for the ball field parking lot! Here is what you need to know:
Start Time and Meeting Place:
Everyone should meet at the ball field parking lot (Great Woods Road Entrance) at 9:00am. We will be leaving the parking lot by 9:15 after a trail work review meeting and head to the job site. If you can not make it there by 9:00, come any way and just ride or walk out to the work site. We will put you to work when you get their.

Estimated Project Time:
We expect this project to take 5 hours to complete. If you bring your bike, you can be the first to ride this new trail! A group ride is scheduled by Dieselbikes after this trail work.
What to Bring:
Bring your own bug spray, food, water; a pair of work gloves, eye protection and your bike.
What WE are going to do:
The map below shows the job site area. Because of the Nells Pond housing development, the famous Bow Ridge trail was severed into two sections. Although the trail section that was severed was not official within the Lynn Woods property line, many attempts to reconnect the two ends have been made. We are still trying to find a way to do this but it will take time.
To help resolve this problem and reduce some environmental impact on top of Bow Ridge, Park Management has approved a NEW 800 foot trail to lead bikers down from one end of the Bow Ridge Trail near Boston Rock. This new trail has been laid out, marked and will include some wonderful flowing singletrack with extras! The estimated distance is 800 feet and there is a requirement for stone work. This will be a fun trail to ride down and also climb up. The more people that show up, the more fun we can have later.
This will be a labor intensive day and tools will be provided. This trail day is also sponsor by GBNEMBA and we look forward working with them again. Please e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you need further information.
