Looking for feedback: New cycling forum
Hi all - my name is Greg, founder of AlpineZone.com, one of the most active Northeast/New England skiing communities around. Many of my members have been urging me to create a general cycling forum as many of them ride as well as ski. I hope this doesn't come across as too spammy, but I would like some feedback (Admins - feel free to whack this thread if it's not cool). I simply created one forum for both MTBers and roadies. I really don't ride much, nor do I participate in any cycling forums, so I don't know much about how riders of different types interact. So my biggest question is: is there any sort of animosity between roadies and MTBers? Is a merged forum like this just asking to become a hostile environment? I guess some would say that skiers and snowboarders can sometimes clash, but they've been certainly willing to peacefully coexist in our skiing/riding forums. We're sort of an older and more mature group so maybe that helps. Anyway, if anyone wants to help seed some posts to breath some life into the new forum, contact me and I'll send you the link. Also, if you ski or snowboard, you should definitely check out the site; a great group with many members that coordinate trips to ski/ride together, etc.... Thanks for your time!
