Default Wicked Ride of the East

Never been to Harold Parker S.P. Can anyone give a description? Looking specifically for some advanced xc stuff. How would it compare to somewhere like Great Brook in Carlisle? Tx.

Similiar to Great Brook, definitely quite a bit of fun, advanced XC there, worth the trip.

Great Brook Farm = 1000 acres
    Harold Parker = 3000 acres

Also about 10 times the trails, but no sinage whatsoever.

Trails at GBF are multi use design/built for the most part. HP trails are MTB design/built

Give that Wicked ride a try. They always post the good stuff and if you ask nice you can get the locals to show you the xtras.

The ride on Sunday should be just what you're looking for.
There will be marked loops for all abilities. Great trails,
    great riding.

Well the routes are marked. Advanced is 17 mi. with a bail out half way. There are definitely some techy sections, probably more so tomorrow with some wet rocks and roots at least to start. Novice is mostly fire road 7 mi. with options to try advanced sections if you want.

Weather is looking up but this is a great venue even if it's not so nice - flush johns, changing indoors possible, covered pavilion to hang out. Trails should be fine.

Thank God for the time change, without it, I may have missed this ride.

I had a blast, thanks to all those who volunteered and organized the event.

Great ride, nice technical couse, some cool trail features here at the SP like bridges linking together big rocks and stuff...the map and trail blazing and pre-ride snacks made this a steal at $5! although we logged about 19.5 miles, not 17
