    Default Hangover ride!

After the kick ass ride we had Sunday @ Case.I took a nice evenly paced ride though the Dracut state forest today. It was nice just to losen up and not race the whole way,But also makes me realize how much better a rider you become after ride a place that is so much more technical like case .
This is the best time of year to ride. I got the fever and all I think about is riding..Oh and Harpoons..lol

So ya like Case? Quite the jewel down here. We nutmeggers have got to be a bit more careful of just who we divulge such sweetness to. You are a Mass/sort of Boston guy right? (just had to do it, Toddster). Come one, come all. We suffer a kind of noble and tolerant silence.

Just came in from a 3+ hour romp there. Hit a level balance of a wide variety of its offerings and still there's gobs more fun out there. An absolute blast.

Oh yea....Case was a blast indeed.
What a great mix of terrain.
Plenty o rocks and nice downhill runs.

Plus in CT, the locals will allow pictures without shooting bravado buckshot at ya.

;D I knew that I'd stir up the bust-a pot a bit but I just couldn't resist. Especially since I managed to stay out of that fracas (sp?).

Case has it all. The tops of the two ridges to the north are awesome, and the slickrock climb that must go for a full quarter mile or more near the pipeline to the south will test anybody on both skills and stamina. But I have one favorite.

It's best as a descent, not too technical, but with two great jumps that flow perfectly. On the Bikerag map, it is #14 to #18, marked in yellow. The last part is hike-a-bike at the base of the ledge, but the scenery is so pretty that you don't mind. There's something about CT ledges that simply moves me.

I was hard to choose that trail over the blue trail taken as a downhill heading south, which offers one of the best technical rock-romps anywhere.

Then there's the mountain laurel lined trail up the east ridge, or the red maze of trails to the south or... Well, you guys already know all that.

    Just don't tell anyone.
