i'm going up to the adirondacks this weekend. the 20th-22nd. i'm going up there to ride and hike around and explore. definitely doing some gondola riding at gore mountain. if anybody want s to come up with me tomorrow or come up on their own during the weekend, and wants directions, email bike187@hotmail.com or call my cell @ 781-864-8883 if it's after tomorrow afternoon as i'll already be on my way. after tomorrow the cell won't work cause the house is too secluded in the mountains to get a signal and i don't know the house # for up there off the top of my head. i'll be staying at my family's old house up there. it's in minerva which is right near northcreek and lake george. there's awesome trails right down the road from the house. you could also bike around the property through our logging trails, but they're old and thick this time of year, so you're better off sticking with more commonly used trails. the house is about 20min drive from gore mountain, which offers so great freeriding (i think it's $26 for a lift pass). you can stay for free at the house, you'll have to bring your own food though. there's the boreas and the hudson rivers that are down the road from the house and are awesome to go swimming at, as well as the local lake with rope swing. also for any stargazers, you can't see nothing in eastern mass compared to what you can see up there. the trip is about 260 miles and takes anywhere from 3.5 hrs to 5.5 depending on traffic and how you drive. if anybody has any trails in particular that they want to ride in neighboring towns, that would be great too. this year the flies aren't bad at all so it's even better. ;D
