Rock Shox manual
Im looking for a service manual for a 98 judy sl. Rock shox web site only goes back to 2001. Just my luck. any help would be great

Check out the Angry Asian. Click on the fork maintenence icon at the top of the page then choose the year and model. It's not the actual manual but he has lots of info on that model that's printable.

The 98 SL's were pretty darn simple. The guts were the same as the XC if I recall and they still used the cartridges vs. an open damping system (changed in 99 I think). What do you need to know?

Nice! What parts are you having trouble with? The dummy leg can be confusing as it has a delrin spacer block thingy that is sort of weird. You should also have a white cap thingy on the top of either push rod (which the spring sits on). Lemme know if you need help.

dawgee save yerself the hassle. use that old judy as a tomato stake. i got a good score at pedrofest a 1999 marzocchi z2 atom fork $60.00 you guys up for sunday morning?

Im not sure about sunday morning at this point Agent. If were there were there if not.......... I know you hate Rock Shox but i was curious on how it worked and wanted to clean and paint it incase someone needed a fork in a pinch. If not i'll use it to prop up the rose bushes LOL

i dont hate rockshox, i just wont use them on a bike i ride.if other people enjoy them thats their fate. the weather for sunday looks real promising cool low 80's for the hi temp...
