      Orchard Hill Assault

Lots of NEMBA jerseys around at UMass today. Wish I had been up for the rigor.

Some days, it just is better to DNF. 45 degrees and windy got me wheezing something fierce after only one lap.

      Next time!

I saw you up there, I was wearing the blue jean shirt! I forgot my riding clothes. I'm not feeling to well now, coughing up a storm. That was a tough one.

Bummer. It was good to see the jerseys out there. I have to confess that I was wearing my Horst Engineering kit as I don't own a NEMBA jersey. I will have to fix that this week so that I have something to wear until the jerseys come.

By the way the jerseys have been ordered. Hopefully they come in sooner that expected.

AFAIK, Matt took 5th in pro. It was a heck of a tough field. I was happy I only had to do 5 laps (sport). Expert and pro had to do 7!

Not me, I'll be at the NEMBA/IMBA trail school in the Berks.

Good luck to those that are...

I'll be there! From what I hear, fast and flowy. Mostly singletrack. Cant wait.

                        Weeping Willow

Hopefully the rest of the team had a better weekend than me.

I was really excited about the course at Willowdale, I had heard a lot of good things in general as well as a lot of 'perfect for a singlespeed'. Everyone was right and I was having a blast and riding very well early on....

                        For 4.23 miles anyway.

Then my pedal managed to dethread itself and mangle all the threads on the way out so that I couldn't get it back in. DNF city. Very frustrating. But them's the breaks.

Thanks to Frank and the North Shore Chapter for watermelon, etc. after the race.

                        How did everyone else do?
