There is some movement to try to get high school teams formed for this series. Our local high school is entering a team with riders in both beginner and sport classes. Other high schools in CT have been contacted and there is some interest from a few of them.
This is a call to NEMBA members - if you know some high school aged riders, pass this information along to them. No need to get official school sanctioning; just have the kids form their own team. The races are pretty low-key, and the beginner class in this age group (15-18) is usually well subscribed, with riders of all ability levels.

I am hoping to race a couple of times, but I'm not planning on running the full circuit. I am a beginner rider hoping to place in the middle of the pack.

Instead of "middle of the pack," I prefer to refer to my racing abilities as "at the top of the bell curve." ;D
