How Frozen are things?

I was hopeful that the bit of thaw and subsequent refreeze we got last week would have helped with the trails, especially those that have been packed out by snow machines, snow shoes and xc skiers.

No such luck on the trails in the Massabesic area. Fire roads and other snow machine areas are pretty loose, like riding on the beach....and the singletracks did not freeze deep enough to support weight.

Any word on other trail systems in southern NH???

I need a ride fix, and the South Shore is buried for a while!

I was out stomping Pawtuckaway with my snowshoes on Sunday and ran into some familer faces riding at the park. They had gone out around 9:00 and we ran into them at 11 and they said conditions were great. The snow machines had it packed down well.
