Lynn Woods, MDC & Ranger Dan

Hey PK or Tom,
I caught Mitt's speach the other night and he mentioned getting rid of the MDC. I was curious to find out if Ranger Dan is/ was employed by the MDC and if he is/was, how is that going to change the relationship at Lynn with the landowners?
Mitt went on to mention that the State Parks Dept. will be taking over the MDC responsibilities? Again, what will this do to the relationship at Lynn?
Any light you can shed on this sensitive subject?

Lynn Woods is owned and managed by the city of Lynn. The rangers at Lynn Woods work for the Lynn Department of Public Works.

While the changes with the MDC should not affect Lynn directly the same budget problems may also have an impact at Lynn. State aid to towns is being cut which means that the City of Lynn will probably wind up with a hole in their budget. Hopefully this will not impact Lynn Woods but there is a chance that it could. I know that Tom has been in touch with Dan and that this is something that we will be watching closely.
