Is anyone interested in going for a ride this weekend with a snow riding rookie? I have always thought winter was for trainers and spinning until I joined NEMBA, This week I purchased a set of studded tires. I am willing to travel as long as your willing to act sympathetic (between the laughter & finger pointing) when I fall or otherwise look like a dumba$$.

You're right in Justbill's and Evil's neck of the woods.
I imagine you could work a ride with one those gents.
p.s. Pay no mind to Splat. He's had that threat over me for months, and still yet to snap one of me all messed up....yet. :)

I believe you will, my friend.
Yes indeed, that shot of Bob with the birdies flyin' round his head would have been suitable for framing.
Then again, if you had just gotten one of me and my magical river crossing well.....

P.S. do you use a sram or shimano derailer?

It looks like your on your own with the SRAM there SMJ. Good thing you got so many from Ebay.
The forcast has been changing by the hour. One aspect has remained the same and thats the temp. Looks like we will be right at the snow rain line with the most recent predictions leaning to all snow. That would be better in my opinion as frozen ground beats mud anyday.
We will have a good ride regardless. I'm ready, but who is leading?

Since haven't ridden for a month and a half. I will be the guy asking for a break or an ambulance.... The steak and cheese diet is killing me,but they sure taste good.. See you SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

thou art to kind Sir.
The truck had a clogged fuel filter which is repaired. When i pick it up i will stop on the way home and get a bigger helmet to fit my swelling head(your fault).
I suppose this means i will have to arrive on time. But then ride leaders are like Wizards "Wizards are never late. Nor are they early. They arrive precisely when they mean to"

Perfect!
And this time, I shall wait for the wizard as any good Hobbit would.
I'll leave to you men to sort out Bob, Yogi and rides. We'll just meet at Wompatuck @ noon. I recommend parking just outside the gates, since they close em at 3:30. We may still be riding past then, or replacing my derailler. :-\
Here's basic directions guys.
Get to 128 south from rte 3. Continue south until Braintree, then take rt 3 south again. Take the rt 228 exit, go left at the end of ramp. Continue straight for @ 3 miles, until you see the sign for Wompatuck State Park, take that right which is Free St. Follow signs right to the gatehouse. Park on side of road in front of gate. Give me ring on your way.
Make sense?
ps I can meet earlier (like 11), if you want to spin around before Bill arrives. Evil, I still get a kick outta the "steak&cheese diet" bit. :)
