Ok. Everybody is all impressed with everybody's taste in cool music. Now is the time to fess up, folks. On those rare days when it's just you and you are feeling a little... funky or country or sensitive, let's say. You have that strange yearning to pop in that Flock of Seagulls CD or leave the radio tuned to that George Michael or Shania Twain or Air Supply song. God forbid that you might even start singing! Don't blame it on your wife or girlfriend being in the car. Do you have the kinones to admit just how gay you might be because you actually do like...

Well, I started it so I guess I have to go first. Yes, I do like Michael Jackson as well as the BeeGees. I even own CDs from both. :P

i will admit to liking the beach boys and early elton john stuff i do find myself listening to the 70's channel on digital cable music station every now and then saddest of all i know almost everything from the 1950's forced to listen to oldies station when very young by my parents.however we were encouraged to get into music at an early age, they bought me my first electric guitar when i was nine and a new fender guitar and amp at 11 the first albums i bought were the doors and led zepplin II in 1972.

Sylvan, that sounds like a CD that one would listen to in the presence of his sister... I mean, his wahf. Music that, for some strange reason, causes people's mouths to look purty. DO you play that at the Klan meetings? ;)

Seems like a lot of dudes on here have the hibernation blues. Ya know, just ready to SNAP at a minutes notice. Well I'm ashamed to admit, that even though the vast majority of my cd collection consists of Metallica, Slayer, and other stuff most would cringe at, it also includes.... :-X Abba, Carpenters, and Sat Night Fever :-X Alright , I said it. Abba. Knuckle :-X

When I'm felling a little low nothing makes me feel lower than Morrissey, The Smiths and The Cure.

Hey, let's take a bit of a different tact. I was going to start a new thread for this but then thought, "Another music thread?" So we'll do this here.

What music have you lied to your wife/gf or significant other about liking in order to... um... get some :-* or show your "sensitive side" but inside you secretly cringe and have come to regret ever lying in the first place, because she insists upon playing it far too often for your liking.

I am personally guilty of saying, "Oh, yea, that Natalie Cole isn't bad!" Big mistake. And "Mmmm, yea sweety, Mariah Carey has a beautiful voice." On the positive side, this music, at worst, just puts me to sleep.

I got her back, though, actually getting her to listen to System of the Down and Metallica S&M Live.

Um, I don't think we know each other well enough to start talking about our equipment.

I was actually trying to make up a list of my 10 favorite bootlegs.
