My guess is that Foxboro has lots of snow like everyone else. It's always a crap shoot trying to ride on snowmobile packed snow. My suggestion is south of wompi. Kingston woods, myles Standish, or the cape.

Foxboro has a few inches of snow, with lots of hardpack from XC skis and snowmobiles. Fire roads and some trails are rideable. You will get a workout if you go. I find that climbs that once seemed trivial are now challenging, and what once seemed challenging is now a walk 'n' carry.

How about Borderland State Park in North Easton. The trails have been ridden on by many mtn bikers, and the remaining packed snow(2-4 inches) is really great for traction. A great take is to park at Bay Rd entrance gate, ride the new NEMBA trail into park from the gate, and choose any one of the loops once in the park, as long as you finish the loop you choose so you go by the Visiter Center to head down the hill to the Lodge on Leach pond. There is usually a fire going in the fireplace at the Lodge, and it's a cool place to take a short break (and warm up, it was a perfect place to make a broken chain repair on my friends bike last Friday night during a full moon ride!!) To finish off the ride, instead of taking trails back to Bay Rd, simply ride across Leach pond back to the NEMBA trail. All told this could be a 1 1/2 to 2 hour ride. I could be interested in joining a group this coming weekend, since Borderland is right down the street from my house.
