That looks like the former Silver City Skateland on County St (Rte 138). Question is, why would anyone want to ride their bike there??

does that mean that it's not a nice park? what's wrong with it, too small or poorly laid out or something?

It's an old roller rink. You do the math. It doesn't look like the kind of place to bring your full sized mountain bike. More like one of those BMX types that you see overly-pierced brain dead dudes doing tricks with on extreme games.

the park is actually on W. Waters Street and doesn't appear to be an old roller rink. the session was cool but really packed, apparantly when people see "free" they are willing to come out even if it's 2deg out! about 6 pro riders showed up (aaron chase, kyle ebbit, todd bosch, lance trappe, george ryan, and lenosky) and ripped the park on their mountain bikes along side the hardcore 20"s...great fun to watch :)
Thanks to Red Bull for helping get people out there riding even when it's subzero!

Sorry for the misinfo, then. The pictures on the website looked like it was an indoor type of place and I just assumed.

no biggie....it's an indoor park and actually if it were a roller rink that might be a bit better because there would be no support columns! for my purposes the padded columns were good though, gave me something to hide behind while I shot photos ;)

I went down there too! ( I saw you BB out there shooting pics ) my 6 year old wanted to go out there and ride bad! But It was so crowded I didn't want him to get in the way or worse. Looked like a fun Place. I promised him we would go back sunday Morning ( 9-noon is a Bikes only session) and the owner said it should be too many people there then.
and it is definatly not an old roller rink , more like an old ware house /Mill , the right next to them is an indoor Paintball field.
So BB be sure to post some pics !

man, I can't believe I missed ya! actually the place was so packed I almost missed the people I went there with! ;) it's too bad your son couldn't ride, but that was probably a wise move seeing how even the pros were getting into near misses every few minutes. I heard that that was twice the previous max attendance!
here's a shot of my buddy rick (StinkyKonaGuy) havin some fun...
