Well, As from the ride forum, we went out today and rode Wompatuck in hingham , trails were in good shape not to much snow and Ice , Well I rode in with SloMoJo, whose Bike was getting its maiden Voyage. We quickly Met up with Karen , and AA found us , But AA had been riding all morning so He gave pointers on where to go. Just Bill had said he was going to show up , But we gave hime about 15 minutes and decided we better get moving or freeze. We had been riding , up down sideways , having a good ride , then we ran into a group of riders who asked us if we were looking for a guy named Bill ! with that SlomoJo took off in pursuit of Bill who apparently had just been there , but alas He did not catch him. we would fianally meet up with Bill in the parking lot afterwards. SloMoJo's new steed ran quite well, the only one big thing was he caught a branch and bent a Spoke :o SloMoJo spent a couple minutes trying to straingten that spoke!
One other thing of interest , a Couple of minutes after we got back to the parking lot a ranger approaced us to inform us that the Gates lock at 3:330 PM during the winter! Good thing we got back when we did !
Here is a Pic of Karen and SloMoJo

There's that silly grin on that guy again. :)
Thx Splat.
Great day at Wompi.
We'll do that again soon.
My only regret was not waiting a little longer for Bill.
Sorry buddy....my bad.
Karen rides really well. Good show.

I was......delayed.
The lesson for everyone here is to arrive on time. I am often late to rides and i lose out as a result. It is also a hassle for those who are waiting, and wondering if you are coming. I will try to be better about that.
Lesson 2..If you got a cell phone, and you brought it on the ride, at least leave it on till you leave the trail head. Then the inconsiderate sloth can let you know he is delayed and to leave and he will catch up with you at x location. Sorry guys.
The conditions were great and almost all the ice was thick enough to ride over. At least 1 thin spot has a hole about the same size as my butt. I enjoyed the solace the woods provided today. I had considered just leaving when i got there so late, but i am happy i reconsidered. I got laid off this week and it was good to have the alone time for some self affirmation. ...I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and dog-gone it, I made this hot chocolate and i'm not leaving until those guys get back here and drink it.

It was good to meet you folks, it's nice to see forum members actualy riding as opposed to what we usually do, waste time at the keyboard. So where you able to find your way around OK?

Hey AA.
Good to see you out there too.
We just followed the bike path, which worked out to be a fine 9 miles. Ready to start exporing the other areas in there, like Prospect Hill and whatever boulder. That's a nice place, which will pull us through the winter...I hope.
If I can ever get up that early on a Sunday...I'll join ya some time.

Did you folks need the studded tires for the ride? It's hard to tell from the photo. I'm considering a ride here over the upcoming weekend (or arcadia or otis...).
Looks like you had a great day for a ride!

Yes, the studded tires are highly recommended for Wompatuck. Guys tell me they are not required for Cape riding.
Yes, it was a great day!
Post your plans on MA ride board.
I'll probably ride again Sunday AM.
