Ok I like to ride in the winter as much as the next guy, but sometimes it is just too damn cold or there is too much snow on the trails. Anyway, posted a ski invite to my own chapter's board but no one responded. Probably because I did what I am doing now, posting it last minute. Anyway if anyone is interrested in skiing tomorrow, or anytime, let me know. I am going to Mohawk Mtn in Cornwall, CT. Plan on getting there by 8am.

here's the link for more information:

If anyone is interrested email me or drop me a line tonight

Also if anyone is ever interrested in skiing another time, let me know. I am usually up for it.

Later!

Here I was all excited that someone else Back Country Skiied. I wait all winter for the two or three times that its possible in CT. This looks like it. Salmon River forest in Colchester is best I've found. That's where I'll be Sat night or Sun morning... Or maybe at Arcadia again if Colchester didn't get enough snow...

Scheduling has me thinking Sunday is ski day. I'm another CT boy. Thinking western Mass or So.VT.

Jisch,

YOu should get in contact with JT (Jolly Time) as he terms his skiing as adventur cross country or something to that effect. He hits the trails in Soapstone and bombs down some of those trails on XC skis (I think he's heading out this weekend as a matter of fact and sporting his body armor for the XC skiing trek!)

Cheers,

Mark

I'll have to do that!!!

I've skiied the trails at Shenipsit, and found them to be somewhat easy, but I guess I've never skiied through the woods up to the top of Soapstone (did the road before).

I'll search for his contact info.

Kinda wish I owned XC skiis. Sure would be a little cheaper than DH skiing. Anyway I posted a similar post to the CT ride board with no response. That's why I hit Gen Disc. Anyway looks like I will be hitting the slopes solo. No biggy. Sometimes it is easier to not go if you don't have anyone expecting you to be there.

But hey, I am open to new places, i live in the Northwestern part of CT, if anyone is ever up for hitting anything all points north of here I am game. Takes me 3 hours to get to VT area. Well enjoy the snow!!!
