OK..OK
We're just not accustomed to personals on this forum. It's a free country, but that's tacky dude. Wrong website. Try match.com.

Anyways, that's cool about the ride at Mt Snow, and that TMX is made in Brooklyn right? Sweet bike.

Now, I don't imagine they just let you hop on a lift with a bike. So could you explain?

I don't think the background in that pic is helping you. But good luck.

Not so fast boys! You guys get pics of "woman specific seats", Z in her bikini, discussions on the pros & cons of female hairy arm pits, etc. A little eye candy for the girls is only fair.
I've got me a mtbing guy, but I see no reason we should not be welcoming pictures of our fellow mountain bikers from NY. ;)

Kisses for OldBroad xoxo

Yes my TMX is a Brooklyn Bike all 60lbs! I was tresspassing the Nth face. We shuttled up and down with ATVs. Devoted, hardcore and a bit psychotic.

AA

nothing like a little tresspassing to promote good will between mt bikers and the rest of the world

PapaBear
December 27th, 2002, 04:01 PM
dont throw stones Goodwill representative
there are open jeep trails and old ski runs if you know where to look. Go preach your fairy tale crap some where else. Ive been riding for 2o yrs and have spilled much blood, sweat and beer fixing and creating trails for good will.

PapaBear,

You need to chill a little bit dude. From your post prior to AA's it was hard not to think that you weren't outright tresspassing. Had you explained your actions further it would have benefitted everyone.

AA is a standup honest guy and I have to agree with his interpretation of your earlier post as it also looked to me that you were just being careless, and reckless and trespassing and riding on trails you weren't supposed to be on.

Good luck in your bike loving Cinderella Search.

stand up guy, thats nice. also quick with the assumptions. if you havent noticed people are might quick to dish out the judgment. should keep their mouths shut and ears open more often, ya learn more that way dont ya think.

Is this guy for real????

CTYankee
December 27th, 2002, 09:04 PM
Did I miss something? The guy states he was trespassing, AA makes the observation that tresspassing while biking is bad for the image and future of the sport, then PB accuses him of making assumptions and being quick to judge. Then tells us we need to listen more. Well all we know about PB is that he is single guy from NY looking for a wife and just tresspassed on private proptety to ride bikes and quads. What should we have learned from that to indicate you are not the irresponsible type AA suggested?

Maybe the original trespassing comment was sarcastic, I don't know. But from where I stand (well, sit actually) AA was justified to make the comment. And if this is not the forum of critisism of irresponsible riding, what is? Sierra Clubs forums? I just hope those 20 years were spent doing work with the approval of the LM or on private land.

PapaBear, you came on rather strong, so you have to realize you'll get at least that much in return. No one here is on a witch hunt, but among the riding community you are really getting a large collection of people too aware of the threat illegal riding is to the sport. Either you were being sarcastic for no reason (and need to give people a chance to get to know you a bit to tell the difference between sarcasm and truth), or really do need to rethink your riding habits.

Ha..Well this has been fun and got us thru another day of winter. Tomorrow, let's have one of a woman looking for a guy, huh? :)

I love OldBroad's comment.
Why are women always right?
Now, comon that was not really Z in that picture by the pool was it? I assumed that was a model...she's gorgeous!

PapaBear is a character, alright. I have seen videos of nutcases biking down ski mountains, and we're just blessed with a visit by one of them. Not the type on your usual Nemba group ride, but biker nonetheless. ;)
Cheers

I'm a girl who loves life from the seat of a bike...just rode across the country this summer (4000+ miles...SF to Maine). But, your style is offensive. Just ride and let your finesse and riding ability do the talking... :P

Is this site always about such mundane things as dating or do we talk about cycling? Anyone know anything about Ashland State Park in Mass? I'm trying to find maps, but can't online and need help.

any input is welcome! Thanks in advance.

Ashland park is no great shakes when it comes to riding. If you are in the area check out Vietnam, Peppercorn Hill, Hopkinton SP or Upton SP for some better and longer rides. Right now the Town of Ashland is building a new senior center at the entrance to the park and the gates are closed for the winter.

In the spring FISKE racing hosts the Rockbuster Duathalon at Ashland. The 7 mile mtb course is three lapps around the perimeter of the park. There is no technical riding and very limited trails. For the race, the park works well. For a fun ride, check out somewhere else.....

OK, OK... this is getting outta hand. Now everyone is starting to look like a jerk.

(Although I have to admit, I did sort of enjoy the addition of bikini gal to the party shot, that was quite creative.)

Can't we just have a little chuckle and move on...???

Take a sip, Raise tube above head and pinch open mouthpiece. Let gravity do the work. Blowing is nasty!

Did anyone think that he might have been joking around?

I irony of the whole thing was that I was talking to someone recently about the forum and they mentioned "PapaBear" from back in the day, recalling how annoying he was.

It must have been a joke - I mean didn't he have a picture of Billy Crystal in the first post?

Very funny, but I find it ironic that the same person who squelched the fun ("OK, OK... this is getting outta hand. Now everyone is starting to look like a jerk.") is the one who bumped it. ;D

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I love this thread, it has romance, accusations, conflict, and doctored photos. It beats the crap out of "what pedals do you use" or "how old is everyone"..... Umm scratch that last one I think that is useful info (because it was my post).
