No posts for seven days straight.
Anyone know anything about the elusive BG's where abouts?

He's pinned under his car, heartless in Vermont. I told him this would happen!

Oh yeah, Fattie REALLY misses the keen wit and well thought out posts of knucklef*cker where every third word begins with fuc!

Well, I don't know how this post turned into a love-life column but, I'll share as well. Not about me though. Todd, don't be so quick to come down on the Big Game. I don't think he's that kind of guy anymore. You see, I think part of the reason he has been laying out for a while is because he is trying to mend a broken heart. Poor guy was running full speed and when he looked to the side to give us all the big thumbs up he ran smack into a concrete wall.

I change my avatar as soon as I get home and back on my Mac. I can't figure out how to get the .jpg to upload to make the change on the PC I'm using right now.
I'm going to call B.G. right now and let him know how much we all miss him.

Gungy,

Tell BG, that McAskalot offers to go with him to visit some LBSs together to test ride some expensive shiny new FS bikes if he's interested. Could be a fun way to take his mind off of the "almost divorced woman in Vermont" - isn't that what she was being reffered to as?

Could be the start of a NEMBA forum lonely hearts club or something. Ugh!

Every group has a pecking order, be it riding, forums, or just the people you hang out with. You need people that are at the top and people that are at the bottom. Clearly BG is at (or was) at the top of the forum pecking order and Knuckles was at the bottom. The person at the bottom is the one you dont mind yelling at or giving a smack every once in a while to keep them in check. Knuckles helps balance thing out. Is he rude? Yes. Is he obnoxious? Yes. Does he add color to the forum? Sure. It's good to have a little controversy now and again.

Now Knuckles if you are reading this dont let it inflate your ego, just stop in every once in a while and post some "interesting" view points.

So what's BG's problem? Can't find a patch kit big enuf for his deflated ego? We all warned him not to play with fire, but did he listen to us....noooo, he's too good for our advice. If anybody has a right to sit around and lounge in their own self pity and sick, it's Mark!, and he's handling it like a champ! I like the fact that Big Game has reveled that he is a mere mortal, just like the rest of us. Enough with all of this "Affairs of the Heart" talk! This is a MTB forum. Some of you CT MOFOs kick down BG's door, throw him in a tub of ice and take him for a ride!

At this point the B.G. started to assert that there was no such thing as Vermont dairy, that Vermont dairy was a myth and that, in fact, ALL Vermont dairy came from New Hampshire or Canada. He even said that B&J should be labeled as a product of New Hampshire and not Vermont. The now livid gentleman from across the room angrily rose and strode over to the B.G. lookin ready to throw down. He stared the Big Game down and said:
I'll have you know that I am a NATIVE VERMONTER and you are full of s**t!

Now keep in mind there were 7 of us at the table and this guy was all alone. B.G. offended him so much that he threw the odds out the window and caution to the wind to come over and tell B.G. he was a lier!

Maybe this guy caught up with him during his last trip to the Green Mountain State? :o

I think AA has been sipping some of the "smarty pants" eggnog as he has been quite insightful as of late.

I agree that all facets of ones social experience have a pecking order and certain participants have their niche. Some ask questions :D, some share their skewed socioeconomic views in a caustic manner while they go through 4 sets of forks, some HAD issues with posting too many pictures, some typed in caps, some are just spammy, some spout too much, some HAD issues with typing in third person, some have too many bikes, some don't see eye to eye on leading rides (or hand holding), some don't want the "crowds" from Boston to infiltrate their chapters, some use MAC's, some ski, some snowboard, some wear jeans when they ride, and some are drivers.

I think we all agree that BG is one of the drivers. He can facilitate participation and activity. It is no secret there have many dormant forum freaks as of late. I will single out myself (been hustling at work), Gungywump, Fatty, and Todd. In a seperate category I will put Knucklehumper. So...we are all asking...what gives? If rumors are true that you got bucked off the horse then wipe the dirt off your chaps and jump back on the mangy beast. The Big Game we thought we knew would have spit in the face of adversity.

At your constiuents request...throw us a bone!

I just got back from Vermont, but no sign of BG.

I did see a jealous looking man chasing a barefoot woman down the street in downtown Bradford (center of the universe, I'm told). She had a huge rack. At least that's what the guys I was with said. I wasn't looking.

I send my love to all of you. Honestly, you've managed to bring tears to the eyes of this old fool.

But I still am in the wilderness. I have to be here right now. I have forgotten about someone very important to me, God. I know a lot of you may think that sounds funny, and maybe it is. But She (God seems much cooler as a woman) is helping me through. Not just the bad stuff, but the good stuff as well. Meditation is pretty cool and I've been doing a lot of it recently.

And don't think that there's a woman to blame. It's me. But this has happened for a reason. I guess I could just chalk it up to circumstance, but as I get older, I'm realizing there are few true coincidences. Most things happen for a reason. And I think I'm a learning.

God Bless all of you. And I'll be back real soon.

Your pal,

Big Game

BG,
Thanks for checking in and letting us all know you're okay!
I was beggining to get concerned.
The holidays can be a tough time of year!
Hope you get to go for a head-clearing ride soon.
See you when you return!

Happy Holidays to you and all the forum mis-fits,

Fattie

PS Z, What the heck happened to the avatar?????

Glad to hear you're ok. Glad the seance worked. :D
Looking forward to your joining us again soon.

PS - To answer Fattie's question, believe it or not but MIT's whole network went down this morning. Something about a mountain bike video and an avatar being posted, and thousands of people from around the country accessing it all at once...? ;) I don't know.
