Hi, My name is George Willard. As your new Chapter Prez, I'd like to say Hello to all our members and tell you a bit about what's going on in our Chapter. At the annual meeting, officers were elected, new positions were created. Here are the results: After 6 years, John Dudek has decided to take a well earned breather as President. He will be VP of the newly created Franklin County subchapter, VP for Hampshire County is Rich LaBombard, VP for Hampden County is yet to be filled. Our new Treasurer is Peter Ogulewicz, and Secretary is Kevin Montgomery. We decided to subdivide the Chapter because PVNEMBA encompasses an area that includes the entire RT.91 corridor of Massachusetts and points East and West, as well- [Franklin, Hampshire, and Hampden counties] . That's a lot of territory and a lot of riding. We've got some of the coolest rooty, rocky, hilly, twisty singletrack, doubletrack, any kind of track you want. The problem is, we'd rather ride it than talk about it. The point was mentioned at our meeting that there is not enough communication going on in PVNEMBA.
I'll try to change that. Some things that I will be working on this year is to get more info out to the Chapter, in a timely fashion, and let you know what's happening. Something else...We are approximately 160 members and counting. I'd like to thank all of you for supporting PVNEMBA and hope that you will help us grow by telling non members what we're all about. In the meantime, go outside and play.
Happy Trails and Happy Holidays,
GW
