I'm waiting for my studded tires and winter shoes to arrive, and when they do I'll be wanting to use them so email me if anyone else is into doing winter rides. I'm available weekends and sometimes monday mornings.

Hiya Karen,
I'm in same boat...
Anxiously waiting for the winter tires to arrive, and some better clothing items.
I don't know where you live, but I'm in Marlboro MA. I'll start with tamer areas close by, like Callahan and Upton.
Hey Gang...
When it gets deeper where are some of the better winter riding areas? Places open to snowmobiles must be good.
Thx

Both of ya...
I am in Acton, and since i have been downsized and am a bum, and now have loads of time on my hands, I am gonna get back to my status as 'riding a bunch'
to do that, I need to ride in the snow. come up to Acton I will show you stuff that is not mapped or considered popular, and you need a guide the first time through to connect it all up. We got loops that connect Littleton to Great Brook Park and killer stuff in between. Big open fields and ledges in Concord to tight spooky singletrack in Carlisle. And estabrook in between those two has numerous ponds which are shallow, hence they freeze up solid early.
it is mostly rolling to flat, with some bitching climbs spaced between. Mostly hidden and connected with 'secret trails'. That is what makes this ride so cool, it is like local backyard links. Thing is, in 32 miles of ride, you get only 2 miles of road, in 3 pieces. That is a lot of trail for a ride that traverses 4 towns.
Anyhow, hogboy here is offering to guide rides for while. From 10 mile rides to a 32 mile loop. PM me if interested. If people are interested perhaps this can become a regular thing. Rides will all start from the old Acton Cinema lot (lot behind the Tedeshci's store that is 9/10 mile west of concord rotary on Rt 2a)

If you have that much time, Slomojo and I go out at lunch in Marlboro, maybe you could join us.
But that 10 to 32 Mile really sounds Good!!
