Is Snow kind of a mess that time of year? Is fly season over by then? Won't the courses be muddy?

MMcG........ scratch that, BG
Yes it will be muddy and the Black flies should still be in full force. Years ago Mount Snow was always in that 2nd or 3rd week of June. Should be interesting.

Holy Crap, don't tell me I'm rubbing off on ya BG! ;D
That definitely could still be mud season in VT depending on what this winter brings us.
Even with Black Flies and mud.........It must be one helluva fun event to attend. I've heard those pros are amazing to watch.
Did anyone go to last year's race in VT??

I'm kind of bent it is so early. I was hoping to have time to both purchase and practice on a DH bike in time for Mt. Snow. I really needed those two months for the $$$ and the skills.

The Pro XC race on thursday was really dry, but I raced after it rained on sat and it wasnt really that muddy. I also saw the JR-X dh and they were washing out even after the rains. Im not a big fan of mud my self, it hinders the climbing that i've been working on and makes it a running race.

Last time the race was in June, the course was extremely muddy. However, it's a lot more fun to watch it in those conditions.
