How were the trails? Is it time for studded tires yet?

Trails were excellent. We had about 1.5" of snow and almost no ice. I didn't use studs though a lot of folks did. No problems for me and I never fell.

The problem with the studs I have (Nokian 296) is that they are heavy and narrow. That makes for no fun in the snow. They are great on glare ice, but stink in the unpacked snow.

Nokian now has a wider version which would make a much better all around ice/snow choice.
