I paid a visit to a local bike shop today that carries DeVinci bikes among others.......they had a pretty nice looking FS rig on the floor....that unfortunately was WAY too big for me....but I did take home one of their catalogs and their bikes are spec'd well.

The frame at the shop was really well made and looked super sturdy.

Does anyone ride a DeVinci?

Has anyone taken one out for a Demo?

I'm hoping to test ride one later this winter/early spring when the '03s arrive..........the super large rig that was on the floor was an '02 model year.

Any thoughts on DeVinci??

My wife had one for about 6 months. It squeaked, constantly (the modified 4-bar/rocker rear end). Nice frame, decent light FR rig, but the rear end loved to talk. Replaced it with the real deal, an SC Bullit. Accept no substitute ;)

Thanks for the feedback Couch.........I'm not looking for a FR rig..more of an all around trail bike.......this shop will be carrying Kona, Jamis and DeVinci.........so I will probably return for comparison test rides when they get more bikes in.

I'd love to go the SC route or the equivalent, but it is a bit out of my reach at this time and I doubt I'll get that big of a raise come annual review time next month since the budget situation at my current place of employment is extremely tight right now.
