OK so yesterday I went on a little rant about Dirt Rag and some of the content in the mag. So I'm flippig throught the pages of the new issue and there is a story about the Single Speed World Championships. The winners this year recieved a brand insted of a tatoo (ouch!). There are a couple of pictures of the winners showing off their new brands, Travis Brown on the mens side and Stella Carey for the women. Stella chose a painful but somewhat discreet location for her brand, the inside of her bicep. So in the photos there is Stella, a very attractive girl showing her hard earned SSWC brand with a big old tuft of arm pit hair sticking out of her shirt. I'm now torn. The girl is pretty but the arm pit hair is not. I know that in most places in the world women dont shave their pits, but they do in America. Is hairy scary?

Would the guys out there date a mountain bike hottie that had more arm pit hair than them. Are women repulsed by hairy pits (I showed my wife the picture and she gave it a thumbs down).

Inquiring minds want to know

Sure would!
If we got the hots for each other, then no amount of pit hair shall stop us.

Although, I may ask her to flip it up over her shoulders. :)

That is SOOOO funny, I was thinking the same thing. Stella appears to be a very attractive woman. The pix shows here flaunting her new SSWC 2002 tatoo on the inside of her bicep and out from her t-shirt spring a whole mess of fur!

It was almost like one of those old "can you find what's wrong with this picture" things.

I think hairy females are intimidating. The fact that they are hairy means they are out to buck the trend and that they probably have something to say about it.

I'm not sure why women would have hairy armpits. I know that if I could shave my armpits w/out feeling like a homo I certainly would. Assuming that you use deoderant/anti-persperant, hairy pits make it's usa a pain in the butt. It clogs and sticks and mats together and then pulls and generally sucks. I'm semi hairy though, so maybe I'm not the norm. I'm not saying that I could braid my pit hair, I'm just saying I've got more there than on my head.

Hairy chests pretty much bite too. I'm not talking on women, though thats another story I suppose, I mean myself. Do women dig it, you know, like in the movies, where they run there fingers through it and twirl it and such, usually after getting down on a big old bear rug by the crackling fire after a bottle of fancy ass bubbly? I've gotta say, my wife certainly pay's it no attention. I find it annoying and hot. It's like wearing a fur coat in the summer. Sometimes I secretly cut it off (with the hedge trimmer) but then my boobs itch.

I Can't win.

You know, I noticed that also but then I figure "Hey it's Dirt Rag!" These things are to be expected within the pages of Dirt Rag.

It was a great issue though. A real down home feel. Did you see the picture of Mitch S. and Karen D. How about the write up by Kevin Broady on the City Hall Plaza Trials event. (Terrible pics though). Even an article on Sumavil's best bike manufacture IF. Good articles by PK and the Coot, and none of them were showing any armpit hair.

A little more information than I think I was ready for.

That was one of the first things I noticed when I was flipping through dirt rag....very attractive girl and then, whoa, she doesn't shave her pits! :o

I guess if that is her style, good for her, but it also doesn't take long to run a razor over it every now and then too. I am just assuming it has got to be pretty itchy....and maybe a little surprising for you guys.

How would one react when encountering that???? Run for the hills or leave her in the hills?

Well Flo I must say that I would probably run away, I know this makes me a bad person but what can I say.

As for Couch's chest hair trimming...... umm whatever makes you happy.

She's cool, apparently lives with her body comfortably.
Related: Makeup is repulsive, as is smoking.
Get away from the Playboy imagery for a while.

Flo, I wouldn't run so much as I would turn and quietly and slowly walk away shaking my head as I did so.

What's the male equivalent of a woman with hairy pits?

Woody would put the wood to that arm muff so long as it isn't polluted with a bunch of that muskoil.
Unfortunately the two traits tend to go hand-in-hand though.

WD-40 is thought of by many as a lubricant but is actually a penetrant and will hurt bearings by dissolving the grease pack.

I have no problem with Stella's hairy pits.

It does lead me to wonder whether she shaves her muff.

But then that's none of my business.

for fear that this thread may get out of hand I'm going to lock this down and conclude that most guys out there wouldnt mind running their figers through the pit hair of a mountain bike hottie.

If you picked up this hottie in the bar and ended up back at your place. Would ya throw her out after she disrobed and you catch a quick shot of the hairy pits. Or would ya suck it up and do what ya have to do with the plan of never seeing her again and not telling ur buddys.. I think it would depend on how many Harpoons you have in your system.. I pre-fur my women shaved, but thats just me. What if you better half asked you to shave your body hair .Would ya do it for her???

In the heat of the moment...who knows. As long as she didn't smell like a petting zoo...I'd probably let her stay.

Having recently had unmentionable parts of my anatomy shaved for a "minor" procedure, I can safely say it's not the shaving that's the problem. It's the maddening itch when it grows back!!!!!! It chafes too when pedaling so unless you plan on keeping it groomed like a cue ball (pardon the pun) DON'T touch that razor! A little trim now and then is OK though ;)

How 'bout that other post, the one about men shaving their legs. That was a good one! :o
Nothing like body hair to get a good conversation going.

"no shaved legs (there's been a long thread on that subject on the Rage list this week...)" as posted on the Kerry on a bike thread.

Ahh ha ha! See, more talk about body hair!
